"(e-yo-ta) meaning 'superior'"

Built as a railroad town by the Winona & St. Peter Railroad Company in the 1860s, Eyota—an Indian word for "superior" or "highest"—is located in southeastern Minnesota ten miles from Rochester. Eyota has six lovely parks, a skate park, a disc golf course, a cafe, a pizza place, a furniture repair shop, two hairdressers, a barber shop, a post office, a commercial 24/7 workout gym, a mechanic shop, a veterinarian, a florist, an American Legion post, a grain elevator, a convenience store, and a population of friendly residents who gladly welcome visitors!
